Welcome to Sunset RV Park

Only a couple sites have any shade, and that shade is only in the morning. A large green quonset hut structure does not look appealing; so much so I was hestitant to enter. To my surprise, it is the cleanest, best designed, shower, restroom, laundry facility I have ever encountered in all my years of camping. I pre-registered on-line, arrived after the office was close, and left fairly early in the morning, so I had no opportunity to meet the manager. There is a fishing river below the RV Park, attractive river views, interesting rock structures, a couple of welded iron statues on the edge of the bluff overlooking the river and the highway and a high-trestle railroad bridge visible from the park. I am a train buff and I enjoyed watching trains cross the bridge. Mine was a one night stay because I was passing through. A very nice, well stocked grocery store and a gas station are both nearby. I'd love to stay here again, but doubt I will ever be in this area again. If you are planning to be in the area, which is near Glacier National Park, please consider staying here.

John puts a lot of care and effort, he is truly dedicated to this RV Park. Walking into the common area where the laundry, showers / bathrooms are, you are greeted by soft music and a quaint sitting / reading area. The bathroom is always clean, even though you never see anyone cleaning, I suspect elves. The drinking water is good here, you can drink tap. Everybody I talk to, talks about John like they are friends. That says a lot about him, and you actually look forward to seeing him and his puppy. John always goes above and beyond, even brought us a gas BBQ to use. The cabin we are staying in is very cozy and feels like home, the bathroom is only a few steps away. The view out the HUGE window is without words. Sitting on the front deck with the wife and watching the marmots on a hoodoo, trains passing by, amazing sunsets, and stargazing is my favorite past time here. The name of the RV Park is Sunset RV Park for a reason, see the pictures. Being only an hour from Glacier National Park is a bonus as this view is plenty. Stay here, drive into Glacier National Park and avoid the craziness and price of staying in the Glacier Park area. When looking for a place to stay in NW Montana, either the cozy cabin or a pull through RV spot, I highly recommend this location, it has been a wonderful experience. Tell John, Jay says hi. Our three nights at Sunset RV in Cutbank were quiet and stress-free. Enjoyed the intriguing trails and the brilliant sunsets. Restrooms and showers were clean and roomy. Didn't use the... read more laundry area, but good to know it was available. We never seemed to catch the office open, but everything ran smoothly and other campers were friendly and respectful of privacy. Took in a movie downtown and shopped for groceries at Albertsons. Decent cell signal, Wi-Fi not dependable at our site, but we were on the outskirts. We did want to know more about the rusted metal statue on the rock overlooking the river and the highway??? Thanks for a great stay and we will plan a stayover again if we are on the Hi-line.
